Tasting notes for Château Gazin Gazin 2009
To the eye – An intense garnet robe, of a velvety density, where light reflects with an almost liquid elegance.
On the nose – First aromas of black plum and wild blackberry, followed by touches of fresh truffle, bitter cocoa and a saline note reminiscent of damp undergrowth after rain.
On the palate – A silky, almost fleshy texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality; the finish, long and taut, releases notes of liquorice and light tobacco.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
