Joseph Roty Mazis-Chambertin 2023, from the limestone soils of Gevrey-Chambertin. This Pinot Noir, aged in barrels, offers notes of black cherry and fine spices. The palate, silky and mineral, is carried by a precise acidity. Perfect until 2030 with red meats or powerful cheeses.
Nestled in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, this family estate embodies the Burgundian heritage for more than a century.
- Terroir: The vines, rooted on the slopes of Mazis-Chambertin, draw their character from clay-limestone soils, blending chalk and pebbles for a mineral and precise expression.
- Vinification: Ageing in oak barrels, with a respectful approach to the material, favouring the purity of Pinot Noir and the tension of the grands crus.
On the eye: deep garnet robe with ruby highlights, of a silky and luminous density.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh morello cherry, violet and liquorice, underlined by a touch of undergrowth and a saline note, like an echo of the chalky soils of Gevrey-Chambertin.
On the palate: Velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a taut minerality, with a long and elegant finish where gentle spices and fine tannins intertwine.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its complexity.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration respond to each other in harmony.
- Ageing potential: To be kept for 10 to 15 years in a cool, humid cellar, away from temperature variations.
