Château Margaux 1981

Château Margaux 1981 embodies the finesse of a great Médoc red wine, reflecting the savoir-faire of a legendary estate. This Premier Grand Cru Classé is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from a gravel and clay terroir benefiting from a balanced climate. The 1981 vintage, buoyed by a moderate summer, enabled ideal ripening of the grapes, giving birth to an elegant, structured wine. Aged between 18 and 24 months in new oak barrels, it seduces with its aromatic complexity. On tasting, it reveals notes of ripe red fruit, violet, blond tobacco and graphite. On the palate, the texture is velvety, the tannins fine, and the finish long and harmonious. An ideal accompaniment to roast poultry or mature cheese, this Château Margaux 1981 is a ready-to-enjoy wine that will delight lovers of classic grands crus.
