Château Margaux 1968

Discover the discreet charm of Château Margaux 1968, a refined red wine from an emblematic Médoc estate, embodying the classic elegance of great Bordeaux. Premier Grand Cru Classé, it is a blend of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. This vintage is born of a terroir of gravel and clay, benefiting from a microclimate favorable to slow but harmonious ripening. Despite the cooler weather of 1968, this wine is seductive in its finesse and balance. Aged between 18 and 24 months in new oak barrels, it reveals subtle aromas of blackcurrant, weathered leather, dried rose and a mineral touch reminiscent of graphite. On the palate, its supple texture and mellow tannins give way to a long, elegant finish. Ideal with roast poultry or truffle dishes, this rare vintage will delight lovers of historic vintages.
