Tasting notes for Château Margaux 1968
To the eye – A garnet-red robe with tawny highlights, its texture slightly veiled by time, revealing a delicate and patinated character.
On the nose – Discreet aromas of candied blackcurrant, wild blackberry, fresh eucalyptus, and faded violets, lifted by a subtle hint of leather and graphite.
On the palate – A supple and velvety texture, where still-present but softened tannins balance with a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, leading to a long and serene finish.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully appreciate its finesse.
