The Château Margaux 2017, sourced from the gravels of Margaux, is a Premier Grand Cru Classé. At 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in new barrels, it offers aromas of blackcurrant, violets and cedar. Silky palate, elegant tannins and mineral finish. Ideal for aging, it pairs beautifully with lamb or aged cheeses.
A historic estate of the Médoc, classified Premier Grand Cru in 1855, Château Margaux has embodied Bordeaux excellence for centuries, combining family tradition with viticultural precision.
- Terroir : Deep gravels over a subsoil of clay and limestone, at the heart of the Margaux Appellation, where the mild climate and mineral soils shape wines of rare elegance.
- Vinification : A meticulous blend of noble grape varieties, aged 18 to 22 months in new French oak barrels, for an expression that is both powerful and refined.
Tasting notes for Château Margaux 2017
To the eye – A deep garnet-red robe of silky density, where light dances with a velvety intensity.
On the nose – First, fresh aromas of blackcurrant and violets, followed by deeper notes of cedar and graphite, before blossoming into delicate touches of dried rose petals and black tea, carried by a subtle mineral salinity.
On the palate – An unctuous and precise texture, where fine tannins envelop red fruits of crystalline purity, while a lively tension and chalky minerality extend the finish with elegant persistence.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
