Cheval Blanc 2000, Premier Grand Cru Classé A from Saint-Émilion, is born on clay-gravel soils. Blended from Merlot and Cabernet Franc, it offers aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant, lifted by liquorice. On the palate, its silky texture and melted tannins reveal a vibrant minerality. To be cellared for 25 to 30 years, it is sublime with red meats and truffles.

Tasting notes for Château Cheval Blanc 2000
The eye – A deep red robe with garnet reflections, of velvety density, heralding generous substance and a smooth texture.
On the nose – An enchanting bouquet where fresh mint, melted liquorice, wild blackberry and blueberry intertwine, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of ripe blackcurrant, all underpinned by a chalky minerality.
On the palate – A broad and silky attack, where the acidic tension dialogues with tannins of remarkable finesse, while notes of roasted coffee and damp earth stretch into an exceptionally long finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to unlock its full complexity.
