Tasting notes for Château Cheval Blanc 1990
To the eye – A dense and luminous garnet red robe with tawny highlights, revealing harmonious maturity and a velvety texture.
On the nose – An enchanting bouquet where candied black cherry, blonde tobacco, faded violet and a hint of cedar intertwine, lifted by a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate – A silky attack, carried by a lively acidity and a melted tannic framework, where notes of liquorice, undergrowth and cocoa unfold, leading to a long and mineral finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
