Tasting notes for Château Cheval Blanc 1974
To the eye – A tiled red robe of delicate transparency, where amber reflections betray age with quiet elegance.
On the nose – First notes of faded violet and candied blackcurrant, followed by a hint of liquorice and soft spices, before a subtle salinity comes to balance the whole.
On the palate – A silky, almost ethereal texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, leading to a finish of serene length, where ripe fruits and woody nuances linger.
Serve at 16 °C in a Bordeaux glass to reveal its full complexity.
