A family estate rooted in the sun-drenched lands of Vacqueyras, where the Reynaud family’s legacy has been passed down for nearly a century.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and rounded pebbles of the Vin de Pays de Vaucluse appellation, bathed in the southern Rhône’s Mediterranean climate—a setting for wines with vibrant minerality.
- Winemaking: A traditional method that respects the fruit and gives it time—natural fermentations, long macerations, and patient barrel aging to reveal the purity of the grape varieties.
Tasting notes for Domaine des Tours 2020
Appearance – Deep garnet red, with a silky texture and density that promise a generous palate.
On the nose – Wild blackberry and black cherry aromas come first, followed by a hint of licorice and sweet spice, then a chalky, slightly saline note characteristic of Vacqueyras soils.
On the palate – A direct, juicy opening with lively acidity and an elegant tannic structure. Minerality persists through a long, taut finish where ripe fruit mingles with toasted nuances.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to bring out its complexity.
