Born on the gravelly soils of the Vaucluse, the Domaine des Tours 2021 (Château des Tours) blends Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. Aged 12 months in barrels, this organic wine offers notes of ripe fruit, spices and thyme, a velvety and mineral palate. Perfect with game or a daube, it can be cellared for 5 to 8 years.
Château des Tours
A family estate rooted in Sarrians, in the heart of the Vaucluse, where Emmanuel Reynaud's expertise perpetuates a demanding, organic winemaking tradition.
- Terroir: Gravelly soils of the southern Rhône, mineral alluvium shaping wines of rare precision.
- Vinification: Late harvest, natural fermentation and aging in barrels for a pure expression of Grenache and its companion grape varieties.
Tasting notes for Château des Tours domaine des Tours 2021
To the eye – Deep red robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose – Aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry mingle with notes of liquorice, dried thyme, and a salty hint reminiscent of sun-warmed pebbles.
On the palate – A lively, precise attack, silky tannins wrapped in a chalky minerality, a long and taut finish where an elegant salinity lingers.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
