The Guigal Côte Rôtie La Turque 2002, sourced from the schistous slopes of the Côte Brune, blends Syrah (93%) and Viognier (7%). After 42 months in oak barrels, it offers notes of dark fruits, spices and a mineral touch. Powerful and elegant, it will pair with red meats or cheeses through 2030.

Tasting notes for the wine E. Guigal Côte Rôtie La Turque 2002
To the eye – A deep garnet robe with tawny reflections, of a silky density that heralds a generous and velvety substance.
On the nose – First aromas of wild blackberry and candied blackcurrant, followed by notes of liquorice, black pepper and a hint of violet, all underpinned by a chalky minerality and a saline edge.
On the palate – A smooth and fleshy texture, carried by a lively acidity and an elegant tannic structure, where sweet spices, dark fruits and a long finish mingle, marked by a persistent salinity.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
