The Côte-Rôtie La Turque 1995 from Guigal, born on the schist slopes of the appellation, reveals Syrah of rare maturity, aged 40 months in new barrels. Notes of black cherry, liquorice and spices, with a velvety and fresh palate. Perfect with game and aged cheeses.

Tasting notes for the wine Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Turque 1995
To the eye – A ruby red robe with dark reflections, dense and silky.
On the nose – First morello cherry and wild blackberry, then notes of smoked liquorice, damp earth and soft spices, lifted by a saline hint of schist.
On the palate – A smooth yet precise texture, carried by a lively acidity and chalky minerality, with a long and elegant finish where power and subtlety intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.

A sunny and generous vintage, in which the grapes reached their peak ripeness, offering a rare balance between richness and freshness.
- Ageing potential: 20 to 30 years under ideal cellar conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
