- Terroir: Deep gravels and clay gravels of Pauillac, a gravelly soil that imparts to the wines their mineral structure and elegance.
- Vinification: A meticulous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and other Bordeaux grape varieties, aged in oak barrels for a silky complexity.
Tasting notes for Château Mouton Rothschild Mouton Rothschild 1992
To the eye: A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a velvety density and a precise brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe blackcurrant intertwine with notes of toasted nuts, gentle spices and a touch of cedar, lifted by a subtle chalky minerality.
On the palate: A fleshy yet balanced texture, carried by a lively acidity and a slightly saline finish, where black fruits and silky tannins stretch into a harmonious length.
Serve at 16–18 °C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.
