Tasting notes for Château Lascombes Margaux 2002
- To the eye : A deep garnet-red robe with brick-toned reflections, of silky density and crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose : A generous bouquet interweaving aromas of wild blackberry, candied blackcurrant, cedar and Virginia tobacco, lifted by a touch of graphite and a subtle salinity.
- On the palate : A velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and a fine tannic structure, giving way to notes of liquorice, cocoa and flint, leading to a long, mineral finish.
