Tasting notes for Château Palmer 1986
On the eye – A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, dense and silky, betraying accomplished maturity and a velvety structure.
On the nose – A captivating bouquet where candied blackcurrant, juicy dark berries, a touch of blond tobacco and cedar intermingle, lifted by a subtle saline note and a hint of damp undergrowth.
On the palate – An ample and fleshy texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long, taut and persistently elegant finish.
Serve at 16°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full aromatic complexity.
