- Terroir : Deep gravelly and clay-limestone soils, bathed by the influence of the Gironde estuary, lending the wines a distinctive minerality and an elegant structure.

Tasting Notes for Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 1982
To the eye – A ruby robe with garnet highlights, dense and luminous, betraying perfect maturity and a silky texture from the very first glance.
On the nose – An enchanting bouquet where ripe blackcurrant, candied black cherry, notes of blonde tobacco and cedar intertwine, before a hint of truffle and gentle spices unfold over a mineral and slightly balsamic background.
On the palate – A broad and velvety attack, carried by well-integrated yet still present tannins, a lively and precise acidity, and a chalky minerality that extends the finish into an elegant, saline persistence.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its complexity.
1982 Vintage
Considered one of the greatest vintages of the 20th century in Bordeaux, 1982 combines power and balance, with optimal grape ripeness achieved under ideal climatic conditions.
- Aging Potential : At its peak today, this wine can still age gracefully until 2045, provided it is stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
