From the gravels of Pauillac, the Château Mouton Rothschild 2019 (90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot) captivates with its notes of blackberry, liquorice and minerality. Aged in oak barrels, it reveals a velvety and fresh palate. Perfect until 2040 with game or aged cheeses.
A legendary estate rooted in the terroir of Pauillac, where family heritage blends with a perpetual quest for excellence.
- Terroir : 90 hectares of gravelly and stony soils of the Médoc, where the clay-limestone subsoils sculpt the power and minerality of the wines.
- Vinification : Aging in new oak barrels, precise blending of noble grape varieties, and château bottling since 1924.
Tasting notes for Château Mouton Rothschild 2019
- On the eye : A deep garnet robe with violet reflections, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose : An airy and precise bouquet, where aromas of wild blackberries and black cherries are revealed first, followed by touches of liquorice, soft spices and a subtle chalky minerality.
- On the palate : A smooth and enveloping texture, carried by melted tannins and a lively acidity, while a saline and persistent finish reveals the full complexity of the terroir.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.
2019 Vintage
A vintage of balance and concentration, where the coolness of the nights preserved the purity of the fruit while structuring the tannins.
- Aging potential : To enjoy now or to cellar for 20 to 30 years in a cellar with controlled temperature and humidity.
