The Domaine Ponsot Corton Grand Cru 2010, a Pinot Noir from the limestone soils of Corton, is aged two years in oak barrels. Black fruits, spices and chalky minerality define its profile. On the palate, silky and fresh, it will age 10 to 15 years and pairs beautifully with game or hard cheeses.
Nestled in the heart of Morey-Saint-Denis since 1872, this family estate embodies Burgundian excellence, combining heritage and precision.
- Terroir: The Corton Grand Cru vines, planted on clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, lend Pinot Noir a chalky minerality and an elegant structure.
- Vinification: Aged in French oak barrels (no new wood), manual harvesting and non-interventionist winemaking to preserve the purity of the fruit.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Ponsot Corton Grand Cru Cuvée du Bourdon 2010
To the eye – A deep garnet red robe, of silky density, where light reflects with crystalline precision.
On the nose – First, aromas of black cherry and wild blackberry, followed by a touch of liquorice and damp undergrowth, before a saline note underlines the minerality of the terroir.
On the palate – The texture is velvety, carried by a lively acidity and a mineral tension that stretches into a long, saline finish, where gentle spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its complex aromas.
