Tasting notes for the wine Domaine des Tours Merlot-Syrah 2011
To the eye: A deep garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density.
On the nose: First, aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry, followed by touches of liquorice, grey pepper and a subtle chalky note reminiscent of the domaine's soils.
On the palate: A broad yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a saline minerality, with fine tannins that stretch into a long and elegant finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where the cool nights preserved the tension of the grapes.
- Aging potential: To be stored until 2026–2030 in a cellar at a stable temperature (12–14°C) away from light.
