Château des Tours
A family estate rooted in Sarrians, in the heart of the Rhône Valley, where Emmanuel Reynaud perpetuates a viticultural heritage of exigence and discretion.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and rounded pebbles of Vaucluse, bathed by a temperate Mediterranean climate – a setting for wines of rare precision.
- Vinification: Artisanal method, minimal interventions, patient aging to reveal the purity of the grape varieties and the signature of the terroir.
Tasting notes for the wine Château des Tours Domaine des Tours Merlot-Syrah 2012
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with tiled reflections, of a silky and slightly dense texture, betraying a harmonious maturity.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry, lifted by notes of liquorice, black pepper and a mineral touch of graphite, evoking the warm pebbles of the Rhône.
On the palate: Velvety attack, fine and taut tannins, balanced by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality; long and saline finish, carried by gentle spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to enhance its complexity.
Vintage 2012
A vintage marked by slow maturity and rare balance, where the cool nights preserved the elegance of the grape varieties.
- Aging potential: 10 to 15 years, to be stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
