Sourced from the granitic soils of Hermitage, the Jean Louis Chave 2001 blanc (Marsanne) captivates with its notes of white peach and acacia blossom. Its palate, both ample and mineral, makes it an ideal wine for cellaring until 2030, to be enjoyed with shellfish or poultry in sauce.

Sixteen generations of winemaking expertise are rooted in the steep slopes of Hermitage, where the Chave family has crafted wines of rare precision since 1481.
- Terroir: granitic and schistous soils of the Hermitage appellation, in the northern Rhône Valley, where Marsanne reveals a chalky minerality and a vibrant tension.
- Winemaking: barrel aging to preserve the purity of the fruit, with a respectful approach to the terroir, combining tradition and precision.

Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage blanc 2001
To the eye: a golden robe with pale reflections, of a silky clarity, like a glint of quartz in the light.
On the nose: aromas of white flowers and fresh almond intertwine with notes of acacia honey and flint, carried by a discreet yet persistent saline touch.
On the palate: a smooth and taut texture, where the lively acidity and chalky minerality trace a saline length, leaving a finish of crystalline elegance.
Serve between 12 and 14°C, in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to reveal its full complexity.

A vintage marked by a balanced maturity, where freshness and concentration respond to each other in harmony.
- Aging potential: still at its peak, this wine can be kept until 2030 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
