The Hermitage Blanc 1997 from Jean-Louis Chave, born on the granitic slopes of the appellation, is a blend of Marsanne and Roussanne. Floral and mineral nose, silky and fresh palate, long and saline finish. A rare wine, ideal with lobster or poultry in sauce, to be enjoyed now or cellared.

Since 1481, this family estate from the northern Rhône Valley has embodied exacting standards and faithfulness to the terroir.

To the eye: A golden robe, dense and luminous, with silky reflections that betray an accomplished ripeness.
On the nose: Aromas of white peach and ripe apple intertwine with floral notes of acacia and linden, before giving way to a saline and chalky touch, the signature of the terroir.
On the palate: A smooth texture, carried by a lively acidity and a persistent minerality, stretches into a long and elegant finish where freshness and richness balance each other harmoniously.
Serve at 12–14°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to bring out its full complexity.
