The Hermitage Blanc 1998 from Domaine Jean-Louis Chave, born on the granitic hillsides of Hermitage, is a white wine from the Rhône. A family estate rooted in the steep hillsides of Hermitage, where the Rhône tradition is perpetuated with rare exigence.
- Terroir: Granitic and schistose soils of the Hermitage appellation, in the northern Rhône Valley – a mineral setting that bestows upon the wines a unique tension and depth.
- Vinification: Precise blends of Marsanne and Roussanne, aged with patience to reveal the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the terroir.

To the eye: Golden robe with honey-toned highlights, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance, betraying a fully achieved maturity.
On the nose: Aromas of acacia honey, candied fruits (apricot, quince), fresh walnut, and beeswax, lifted by a saline touch and a chalky minerality reminiscent of Hermitage's granitic soils.
On the palate: Smooth yet taut texture, driven by a lively acidity and a persistent salinity, with a long and elegant finish where gentle spices and flint notes intertwine.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy white wine glass to enhance its complexity.
