Joseph Roty Marsannay Champs Saint Etienne 2022 from Domaine Joseph Roty, sourced from the clay soils of Marsannay. Aged in oak barrels, this Pinot Noir offers raspberry and rose, with a mineral touch. A lively and precise palate, with grainy tannins and taut acidity. To enjoy from 2028 with red meats.
A family estate rooted in the Côte de Nuits, where tradition meets an tireless pursuit of precision. For generations, the Roty family has crafted wines that reflect the soul of Gevrey-Chambertin and Marsannay.
- Terroir : From the clay soils of the lieu-dit Champs Saint Etienne, in the Marsannay appellation, where Pinot Noir draws its minerality and tension.
- Vinification : Aged in new oak barrels, with respect for natural cycles, producing wines that are both full-bodied and elegant.
- To the eye : A deep purple robe with a silky density, where light dances with a chalky depth.
- On the nose : Raspberry and cranberry unfold in fresh notes, followed by rose petals and a saline touch that evokes the chalky subsoils.
- On the palate : A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and grainy tannins, that stretches into a mineral and persistent finish.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its aromas.
A vintage defined by balance, where the ripeness of the fruit meets a freshness preserved despite the summer heat.
- Ageing potential : To be kept until 2036 under optimal conditions (cool and humid cellar).
