Château Lafite Rothschild
A legendary estate, rooted in the gravels of Pauillac since the 17th century, where the Rothschild heritage blends with an uncompromising pursuit of elegance.
- Terroir : The gravelly and clay-limestone soils of Pauillac, bathed by the Gironde estuary, sculpt wines of chalky minerality and rare tension.
- Vinification : A patient approach, where balance prevails — long maceration, aging in oak barrels, and a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon for a structure that is both silky and precise.

Tasting notes for Château Lafite Rothschild 1973
To the eye: A garnet robe with tawny reflections, of velvety density, where light dances with the subtlety of silk worn by time.
On the nose: First notes of cedar and blonde tobacco, followed by aromas of wild blackberry and candied prune, before a saline, almost iodine-tinged touch recalls the maritime influence of the terroir.
On the palate: A smooth texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and taut finish, where gentle spices and lightly candied dark fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 1973
A vintage marked by early maturity and delicate balance, where the freshness of the Bordeaux climate preserved a discreet elegance, typical of the great wines of Pauillac.
- Aging potential : Although already at its peak, this wine can still be cellared for 5 to 10 years under optimal conditions — a cool cellar, away from light and vibrations.
