Tasting notes for Château Mouton Rothschild 2011
To the eye – A deep purple color with garnet reflections, of a silky density and a crystalline brilliance.
On the nose – Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, fresh cedar, roasted mocha and violet, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a fine tannic framework, where dark fruits, soft spices and a chalky minerality mingle, for a finish of remarkable length.
