The Château Mouton Rothschild 2020, Premier Cru Classé from Pauillac, reveals a deep robe. From gravelly soils, its nose marries black fruits and spices, refined in new oak barrels. The palate, mineral and precise, offers silky tannins. Perfect from 2028 onwards with duck confit.

- Terroir: 82 hectares of deep gravel soils on a clay-limestone subsoil, the hallmark of the great wines of Bordeaux.
- Winemaking: Meticulous blending, ageing in new oak barrels for a pure and structured expression of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Tasting notes for Château Mouton Rothschild 2020
To the eye: A deep cherry red robe with garnet hues, both dense and luminous, revealing a silky and generous substance.
On the nose: First aromas of ripe blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by notes of star anise and blond tobacco, before giving way to a mineral touch of graphite and a hint of salinity.
On the palate: The attack is fleshy and velvety, carried by fine tannins and a tart tension that guides a complex aromatic palette – menthol, liquorice and flint – towards a long and elegant finish of chalky purity.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its complexity.
