The Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Morgeots 2021 red reveals the expression of a clay-limestone terroir. This 2021 Pinot Noir, fresh and precise, captivates with its aromas of red fruits and its minerality. Perfect for aging 8–12 years, it pairs with red meats or cheeses.
Domaine Ramonet
A Burgundian institution for three generations, Domaine Ramonet embodies the exacting standards of an exceptional terroir and the transmission of artisanal expertise.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of Les Morgeots, in Chassagne-Montrachet, where Pinot Noir reveals a chalky minerality and a rare elegance.
- Vinification: Aging in oak barrels, respect for natural cycles and pursuit of a pure, taut expression of the grape variety.
Tasting notes for Domaine Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Morgeots 2021 red
To the eye – Deep garnet robe with silky highlights, of a crystalline clarity that announces a precise and vibrant character.
On the nose – Aromas of fresh morello cherry, wild blackberry and violet, followed by a hint of liquorice and a subtle saline note, like an echo of the limestone soils of the climat.
On the palate – Velvety yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that extends into a long, saline finish, where gentle spices and dark fruits intermingle.
Serve between 15 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2021
A vintage marked by freshness and balance, where the measured ripeness of the Pinot Noir gives rise to wines of great precision and classical elegance.
- Aging potential: 8 to 12 years, to be kept under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
