The Hermitage Blanc 1997 from Domaine Jean-Louis Chave, born on the granitic slopes of the appellation, blends Marsanne and Roussanne for aromas of honey and candied citrus. The palate, broad and fresh, reveals a silky texture and a spiced finish. Ideal until 2030, it pairs beautifully with lobster or foie gras.

A family estate rooted in the steep hillsides of Hermitage, where the Rhône tradition has been passed down for generations.

Tasting notes for Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Blanc 1997
To the eye: a golden robe with amber highlights, of a silky and luminous texture, already betraying a harmonious maturity.
On the nose: aromas of acacia honey, candied citrus, orange blossom and soft liquorice, lifted by a saline and chalky touch evoking the granitic hillsides.
On the palate: a broad and velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and taut minerality, leading to a long and spiced finish where fresh walnut and citrus notes intertwine.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to bring out its full complexity.
