Born on the limestone soils of Aux Malconsorts, the Dujac Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru 2008 is a Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels. Red fruits, spices and violet compose its nose, while its silky, mineral palate captivates. Perfect until 2030, it pairs beautifully with sauced meats or cheeses.
Nestled in the heart of the Côte de Nuits since 1968, this family estate embodies the exacting standards and finesse of the great wines of Burgundy, guided by the passion of the Seysses family.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils, typical of the Premiers Crus of Vosne-Romanée, lend the wines a chalky minerality and a rare elegance.
- Vinification: A respectful approach — indigenous fermentation, aging in French oak barrels — for cuvées of remarkable precision and tension.
Tasting notes for Domaine Dujac Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts 2008
To the eye: A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous texture, heralding a dense and refined character.
On the nose: A fresh and complex bouquet, where black cherry, wild blackberry, a hint of violet and a touch of gentle spices intertwine, lifted by a subtle mineral salinity.
On the palate: A velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and a silky tannic structure, revealing notes of ripe red fruits and a chalky minerality, leading to a finish of persistent length and elegant purity.
Serve at 16°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out all its aromas.
Vintage 2008
A vintage marked by slow ripening and a perfect balance between freshness and concentration, ideal for wines built for aging.
- Aging potential: To be enjoyed until 2030, provided it is stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
