From the Suchots, the Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru 2023 from Domaine Prieuré Roch is an oaked red wine. It marries black fruits, spices and flowers, with a silky palate and chalky minerality. Perfect for cellaring, it pairs with game or characterful cheeses.
Domaine Prieuré Roch
Nestled in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, this estate embodies the rare alliance between Burgundian heritage and viticultural boldness. Founded in 1988, it perpetuates a pursuit of purity, guided by respect for the soils and traditions.
- Terroir : The vines are rooted in the prestigious climats of Vosne-Romanée, where clay-limestone soils, mixed with marl and scree, sculpt wines of vibrant minerality and timeless elegance.
- Winemaking : A biodynamic approach, natural fermentations and aging in oak barrels – between tradition and innovation – to reveal the quintessence of Pinot Noir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Prieuré Roch Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots 2023
- In the glass : A deep ruby robe of silky density, where light dances with crystalline intensity, already betraying the precision of the terroir.
- On the nose : An airy bouquet unfolds in layers – fresh griotte cherry, wild blackberry, full-blown peony, then darker notes of licorice and undergrowth, all lifted by a saline and chalky touch, the signature of the great Vosne wines.
- On the palate : A velvety yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and stony minerality, guiding a long, saline finish where sweet spices and candied black fruits intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its full aromatic complexity.

A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration respond to each other in harmony, offering a wine of great purity and remarkable mineral tension.
