The Gevrey-Chambertin Cuvée de la Brunelle 2019 by Joseph Roty, born on the limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, combines Pinot Noir and barrel ageing. Aromas of cherry, liquorice and vanilla. A silky, fresh and mineral palate. Perfect until 2050 with roasted meats or hard cheeses.
Nestled in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, this family estate passionately cultivates a winemaking heritage passed down through generations.
- Terroir: clay-limestone and marly soils of the Côte de Nuits, where Pinot Noir expresses its full depth and minerality.
- Vinification: traditional methods combining patience and precision, producing wines that are both powerful and elegantly refined.
In the glass: an intense ruby robe with garnet highlights, silky and luminous in texture.
On the nose: aromas of black cherry and wild blackberry, followed by notes of liquorice and undergrowth, lifted by a mineral touch and a hint of violet.
On the palate: a lively and precise attack, carried by silky tannins and a chalky tension, with a long and saline finish where sweet spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
A vintage marked by generous maturity and beautiful freshness, producing well-balanced wines of great precision.
- Ageing potential: to be kept until 2050 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
