- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and marls of the Côte de Beaune, lending the wines a chalky minerality and an elegance typical of the appellation.

Tasting notes for Domaine Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge 2020
In the glass: A clear ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture, heralding a lively and precise palate.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh morello cherry, damp undergrowth, soft liquorice and white pepper, lifted by a saline touch reminiscent of Chassagne's limestone soils.
On the palate: A tender attack and well-defined acidity, carried by a chalky minerality and a long finish where gentle spices and silky tannins intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its earthy and fruity nuances.

A warm and early vintage, where the concentration of the berries preserved a remarkable freshness, typical of the great Pinot Noirs of Burgundy.
