Tasting notes for Château Mouton Rothschild 1994
To the eye – A deep garnet red color, of a velvety density, with slightly evolved reflections toward the rim of the glass, betraying a harmonious maturity.
On the nose – First, aromas of ripe blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by deeper notes of cedar, blond tobacco and a mineral hint of graphite, all lifted by a touch of aged leather and beeswax.
On the palate – A full and silky texture, carried by a lively acidity and a tannic framework still present but well integrated, where candied dark fruits, soft spices and a saline finish mingle, with a remarkable length.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.
