Domaine des Tours
A domaine where Rhône heritage and the boldness of blending intertwine, rooted in Sarrians, at the heart of Vaucluse.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and rounded pebbles from the southern Rhône Valley, under the Vin de Pays de Vaucluse appellation – a Mediterranean climate that shapes wines that are both generous and precise.
- Winemaking: Traditional methods, controlled aging and respect for the grape varieties, producing cuvées where complexity arises from balance, never from artifice.
Tasting notes for the Domaine des Tours Merlot Syrah 2008
On the eye: A deep red robe with garnet reflections, dense and silky.
On the nose: First aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry, followed by a hint of liquorice and grey pepper, before ending on a subtle chalky, almost saline note.
On the palate: A fleshy yet taut texture, where lively acidity meets a discreet minerality, prolonged by a long and spicy finish, carried by elegant tannins.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to reveal its full purity.

A vintage marked by slow ripening and rare balance, where freshness and concentration respond to each other in harmony.
- Aging potential: To be kept until 2028 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light), to allow its complexity to fully develop.
