Leroy SA Bourgogne 2014 from Maison Leroy, a biodynamic Burgundy where Pinot Noir expresses itself with elegance. Aged under wood, it marries red fruits, undergrowth and spices with a fresh and mineral palate. Ideal until 2028 with duck breast or porcini risotto.
Born at the heart of Burgundy, Maison Leroy embodies a family winemaking heritage where rigor and respect for the terroir guide every cuvée.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of Burgundy, the cradle of Pinot Noir, where minerality expresses itself with natural elegance.
- Winemaking: Biodynamic methods, fermentation in barrels and precise aging to reveal the purity of the fruit and the tension of the wine.
Tasting notes for Maison Leroy Bourgogne 2014
To the eye: Ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous texture, like a liquid velvet.
On the nose: Aromas of Morello cherry and fresh violet, then notes of undergrowth and liquorice, lifted by a saline and chalky touch.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, where the tension of the Pinot Noir marries a chalky minerality, leading to a long and saline finish carried by an elegant acidity.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
