The Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet 2018 Magnum from Domaine Ramonet is born from the clay-limestone soils of Burgundy. This Grand Cru, aged in oak barrels, reveals aromas of white fruits and a chalky minerality. On the palate, silky texture and lively freshness balance with elegance. Perfect for 10 to 15 years of cellaring, it pairs beautifully with lobster and aged cheeses.
A pillar of Burgundy since the 1920s, this family estate embodies the excellence of the great whites of the Côte de Beaune, guided by an uncompromising pursuit of purity and terroir.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of Chassagne-Montrachet, where the Grands Crus Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet reveal a chalky minerality and unique depth, shaped by an ideal microclimate.
- Winemaking: Aging in oak barrels (including a proportion of new wood) for measured oxygenation, preserving the tension and freshness of the Chardonnay without masking its mineral expression.
Tasting notes for Domaine Ramonet Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet 2018
To the eye: Golden robe with green highlights, of a silky and luminous density, heralding a substance that is both rich and precise.
On the nose: Aromas of white flowers and candied citrus intertwine with notes of toasted hazelnut and acacia honey, before a saline touch underlines the chalky minerality of the terroir.
On the palate: Luscious yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a persistent salinity, while hints of flint and ripe yellow fruits stretch into a finish of remarkable length.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2018

- Aging potential: To be cellared for 15 to 20 years in a cool (12–14°C) and humid cellar, away from light.
