Created in
1959 and located in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin, the Geantet-Pansiot estate is family-run winery of 18 hectares (of which 2 are planted in white) planted on limestone and clay-limestone soils and vinified with sustainable agriculture.
The Geantet-Pansiot estate produces
Burgundian Grands Crus such as
Charmes-Chambertin,
Chambertin, and
Clos de Vougeot. In 2011, the Chambertin, vinified by Emilie Geantet-Pansiot, the daughter of the estate, was a very large and pure Chambertin, with subtle liquorice notes and a noble texture. It rated 18/20 by the Bettane and Desseauve guide. On the Burgundy 1ers Crus side, the
Chambolle-Musigny 1er cru "Les Feusselottes" in 2009 had a very open and full nose, combining red fruits and more lactic notes, a delicately creamy texture, a very generous wine for it's terroir: a real charmer. Their village wines include a Gevrey-Chambertin "Jeunes Rois", a Gevrey-Chambertin "En Champs", a Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, a Chambolle-Musigny and a Marsannay "Champs Perdrix". The 2013 Gevrey Chambertin "En Champs" was described as a wine with a beautiful bluish colour, well-defined pedigree, excellent texture and a fresh finish. The most successful vintages of the estate are
2015,
