The Domaine Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Garennes 2023 is a Chardonnay from clay-limestone hillsides. Aged in barrels, it reveals notes of citrus and flowers, a chalky minerality, and a silky palate. Perfect with shellfish or cheese, to be enjoyed over the next 5 to 8 years.
Nestled at the heart of Puligny-Montrachet, this family estate has been perpetuating a winemaking heritage of exacting standards and finesse for four generations.
- Terroir: 15 hectares of biodynamically farmed vines spread across the most prestigious appellations of Burgundy – Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Cormot-le-Grand, where clay-limestone soils sculpt wines of distinctive minerality.
- Vinification: A fruit-forward approach blending tradition and precision to reveal the natural elegance of the Chardonnay and the purity of the terroir.

On the nose: aromas of white flowers and candied citrus intertwine with notes of gunflint and toasted hazelnut, carried by a saline touch evoking the breezes of the Côte de Beaune.
On the palate: a lively, precise attack where mineral tension dialogues with a rich, unctuous texture, before a long, chalky finish marked by a lingering salinity.
