The Château Haut-Brion 2015, Premier Grand Cru Classé, draws its elegance from the gravels of Pessac-Léognan. Blended from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, aged 78% in new barrels, it captivates with its aromas of blackberry and cedar. Its silky texture makes it a wine for cellaring, ideal with duck breast.
Château Haut-Brion A pioneer of great Bordeaux wines, this legendary estate has embodied the excellence of the Pessac-Léognan terroir for five centuries. - Terroir: Deep gravels and Günz gravels, gravelly and clay-limestone soils of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, imparting a distinctive minerality and rare elegance. - Vinification: Meticulous blending of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, aged 78% in new barrels for a silky structure and lasting aromatic complexity.
Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion Haut-Brion 2015 To the eye: a deep garnet red robe with ruby reflections, revealing a smooth texture and crystalline brilliance. On the nose: a generous bouquet where aromas of wild blackberry, candied blackcurrant, toasted cedar and blonde tobacco intermingle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite. On the palate: a velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and a silky tannic framework, where notes of liquorice, cocoa and flint unfold, for a long and mineral finish. Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.
Vintage 2015 A sunny and balanced vintage, where the ripeness of the grapes combines with preserved freshness for a wine of great precision. - Aging potential: 30 to 40 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity and away from light).
