This Volnay 1er Cru 2023 Magnum from Domaine Michel Lafarge, monopole of the Clos du Château des Ducs, reveals a Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels. Its aromas of cherry and violet precede a silky and mineral palate. To be decanted and kept 5 to 10 years to complement game or cheese.

- Vinification: Oak barrel aging, respect for natural cycles and delicate extraction to preserve the purity of Pinot Noir.

To the eye: Deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh morello cherry, peony and soft liquorice, followed by a hint of damp undergrowth and a subtle mineral salinity reminiscent of limestone soils.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a silky tannic structure, while notes of black cherry and flint extend into a long, saline finish.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
