Born from the clay-limestone soils of Volnay, the Volnay 1er Cru Les Caillerets 2015 from Domaine Michel Lafarge is a Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels. Notes of red fruits, spices, and violet. Silky, fresh, and mineral palate. Perfect until 2030 with game or aged cheeses.

To the eye: Deep garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh morello cherry, wilted violet, damp undergrowth, and a saline touch reminiscent of the climat's limestone soils.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, silky tannins wrapped in a chalky minerality, long and taut finish where an elegant salinity lingers.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.

A generous and balanced vintage, where summer heat ripened the grapes without altering the characteristic freshness of the Caillerets.
