Tasting notes for Domaine Michel Lafarge Volnay 1er Cru Les Mitans 2023
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with ruby highlights, of a silky and luminous texture, heralding a wine both dense and airy.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh black cherry, wild violet and woodland blackberry, lifted by a hint of liquorice and a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate: A precise and vibrant attack, where lively acidity meets velvety tannins, while a persistent minerality carries a long, saline finish.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
