The Michel Lafarge Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes 2010, from old vines on clay-limestone soil, is aged 18 months in barrels. This Pinot Noir combines freshness, silkiness and aromas of red fruits and licorice. Ideal through 2030, it pairs beautifully with game and aged cheeses.

- Terroir : Located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the estate cultivates vines on stony clay-limestone soils, where Pinot Noir flourishes with rare elegance, particularly in the prestigious premier cru vineyards of Volnay.
- Vinification : An artisanal approach, combining total destemming, natural fermentation and oak barrel aging, yielding wines of remarkable purity and precision.

- Appearance : A deep garnet-red color, with a silky texture and a brilliance that already hints at the wine's complexity.
- On the nose : A bouquet weaving together aromas of fresh black cherry, delicate violet, damp undergrowth and a hint of licorice, all lifted by a subtle chalky minerality.
- On the palate : A velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and a mineral tension, leading into a long, saline finish where notes of ripe fruit and soft spices unfold.
