- Terroir: Deep gravel and gravelly soils of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, imparting a chalky minerality and distinctive elegance to the wines.
- Vinification: A precise blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, patiently aged to reveal a silky structure and aromatic complexity.
Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion 1986
On the eye: A garnet-red robe with tiled reflections, dense and luminous, betraying an accomplished maturity and a velvety texture.
On the nose: Aromas of candied blackcurrant, blonde tobacco, and dried cedar intertwine with notes of black truffle and a saline touch, evoking the damp undergrowth of autumn.
