Haut Brion 1988

A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, this wine draws its richness from a terroir of gravel mixed with clay, in a temperate climate. The 1988 vintage, marked by a hot summer, stands out for its dense, balanced structure. Aged for 22 months in new oak barrels, it reveals a complex aromatic palette: blackcurrant, plum, tobacco, smoky notes and a touch of minerality. On the palate, its silky texture, supported by firm tannins, leads to a long, persistent finish. This rare wine, a reflection of Bordeaux savoir-faire, will delight connoisseurs in search of authenticity. Perfect for cellaring or savoring on a special occasion, it embodies the quintessence of the grands crus classés.
