The Château Haut-Brion 1988, from the clay-gravel soils of Pessac-Léognan, blends Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 22 months in barrels, it reveals blackcurrant, plum and tobacco. On the palate, silky and mineral, with a long finish. Perfect until 2030 with meats and cheeses.

To the eye: Deep garnet-red robe with tawny highlights, of silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, candied plum, blonde tobacco and cedar, lifted by a mineral hint of graphite and a touch of undergrowth.
On the palate: Velvety texture, firm yet melted tannins, lively acidity and chalky minerality, leading to a long, saline finish of great precision.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
