Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion Haut-Brion 1985
To the eye: A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density and a subtle brilliance, revealing accomplished maturity.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry intertwine with notes of soft pepper, damp undergrowth, and a saline hint of graphite, evoking the complexity of great gravelly terroirs.
On the palate: A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, unfolds into a long and persistent finish, where gentle spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release the full richness of its aromas.

A generous vintage, marked by an ideal climatic balance, today offering harmonious maturity and preserved elegance.
