Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion Haut-Brion 2013
To the eye: A garnet red robe with deep reflections, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: First, aromas of ripe blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by notes of cedar, blonde tobacco and a saline hint recalling the gravel of the terroir.
On the palate: A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and taut finish where gentle spices and dark fruits intermingle.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
