The Cyprien Arlaud Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru 2019 white is born on limestone soils. This Chardonnay aged in barrels reveals aromas of white flowers, citrus and flint. Silky and lively on the palate, with a saline finish. Perfect for 5 to 8 years, it pairs with fish and aged cheeses.
A family estate rooted in the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Arlaud perpetuates a winemaking heritage in which rigor and respect for the terroir guide every gesture.
- Terroir: Limestone and marly soils of Burgundy, the cradle of the great crus of Nuits-Saint-Georges, shaping wines of a distinctive minerality.
- Vinification: Biodynamic methods, aging in French oak barrels and natural vinification to preserve the purity of the fruit and the expression of the lieu-dit.
Tasting Notes for Domaine Arlaud Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Terres Blanches 2019 white
To the eye: Pale gold robe with brilliant reflections, of a silky clarity heralding a refined texture.
On the nose: Delicate aromas of acacia and hawthorn, followed by a hint of vine peach, candied citrus and roasted hazelnut, all underscored by a discreet chalky minerality.
On the palate: A broad and unctuous attack, balanced by a lively acidity that brings tension and freshness, while a saline and persistent finish reveals the chalky signature of Les Terres Blanches.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out its full complexity.
