The Benoît Marguet Shaman Grand Cru 2022 Magnum, from the Grands Crus of Ambonnay and Bouzy, marries Pinot Noir (84%) and Chardonnay (16%) in a champagne Brut Nature aged in barrels. Raspberry, grapefruit and chalky minerality express themselves throughout. Perfect for cellaring, it pairs with sea bass en croûte or pan-seared scallops.
A family estate rooted at the heart of the Grands Crus of the Montagne de Reims, where biodynamics and respect for the terroir shape champagnes of rare purity.
- Terroir : Chalky soils of Ambonnay and Bouzy, Grand Cru terroirs where Pinot Noir and Chardonnay flourish under a continental climate.
- Vinification : Natural method, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, aging in oak barrels and zero dosage for a vibrant and authentic expression.
Tasting notes for the wine Champagne Marguet Shaman Grand Cru 22 Magnum
On the eye – A pale golden robe, of crystalline clarity, shot through by a fine and persistent effervescence, like a veil of silk.
On the nose – First, fresh notes of raspberry and grapefruit, followed by a zest of yuzu lemon, then a mineral, almost saline touch, before a light woody imprint comes to underscore the complexity.
On the palate – The attack is generous, carried by the power of the Pinot Noir, while the Chardonnay brings a silky tension and a chalky minerality; the finish, long and vibrant, leaves an impression of purity and balance between intense fruitiness and a refined structure.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a tall flute or a wide-mouthed champagne glass to release its aromas.
Vintage 2022

- Aging potential : To be stored 8 to 12 years in a cool cellar away from light, to allow its complexity to blossom.
